Who it suits
The man who drinks with ice, and the man whose drink is not whiskey — a rocks glass works for bourbon, rum, a gin and tonic, or water on a bedside table, which makes it the least assuming piece of glassware we sell. Good for a housewarming for exactly that reason.
Where it works less well
If he pours neat and cares about it, the 6oz whiskey glass is the more knowing gift. And if the recipient does not drink at all, none of this range is right — an insulated travel mug does the same daily-object job without the assumption.
